 Almost done

I started a Florida seascape Dec 31 and will be finished by the end of the week, because my patience for it is running thin. There is not much more I can do to it to make it say what I want it to say. I don't want it to be just a pretty picture. With the others scenes I've done I haven't had this problem. Maybe that's why I never did a Florida scene before. Oh well, I'll post it in a few days.

 Still at it

After living in Florida for 13 yrs.I'm finally inspired to do a Florida scene. The color of the water at a certain time of day is just beautiful. Florida skies are everchanging, beautiful and so interesting. Because the terrain is so flat you can see where rain is falling, what areas are in sun and watch the rain move over the land.
At the waters edge, in mid afternoon where the sky and water meet the colors are the same so the horizon line is almost invisible. Looking at that one feels like they are floating. A wonderful new feeling that I've never had before.
Now that I have brought you up to date, back to work.

This still life was done sometime in the 1990's I don't think I have an affinity for still life however i do like the way the vase came out.

Myrtle Beach Veiw... we had the most wonderful veiw from our balcony and able to see sunrises and sunsets. All were exciting. This was a sunset.

Trompe Loile is my all time favorite kind of art work. It's amazing how you can create your own enviorment with paint.

House in Latrobe Pa. The setting here was so special. In the backround is the mountain and the house was settled right below it. It was a crisp spring day...so nice! done in 1993
Acrylics on wood is a huge one covering 2 windows that had a not so nice veiw.(my neighbors house) I am lucky I was able to cover it with my own veiw and create my own enviorment. done in 2004
OiL on canvas is a petrified coral reef. I did this one in the late 1990's
