House in Latrobe Pa. The setting here was so special. In the backround is the mountain and the house was settled right below it. It was a crisp spring day...so nice! done in 1993
Acrylics on wood is a huge one covering 2 windows that had a not so nice veiw.(my neighbors house) I am lucky I was able to cover it with my own veiw and create my own enviorment. done in 2004
OiL on canvas is a petrified coral reef. I did this one in the late 1990's

To anyone that has been thinking about starting to do a painting...do it, don't wait.
Think about taking some paint and a big brush and apply it to the paper/canvas. Apply different colors with different strokes. Be aware of how the colors make you feel, how they interact with each other. Don't rush. Step back, look at it. Do you see anything? It's surprising how many objects appear and how much you are able to imagine. This step alone will start the creative juices going. I bet you really enjoy it.
To me,this is art...this is not taking a photo of something and copying it with paint. Doing it this way, will make your own style come out and not a copy of someone else. Years ago I painted with an illustrator and it took me many years to undo and paint my own way. I was influenced by him without even realizing it. Do it your way. Thanks for listening

This is a painting I did from life and photos. It's strange one for me as everytime I look at his eyes they look so real. I like that. I'm so glad I did his hair the way I did. It reminds me that it is a painting. The only part of it I I'm not thrilled about is the backround color but that was his choice. I learned something from this...It's, to close the door when I work! Lesson learned!

This is my passion. "ART" it's been in my blood since I was very little and I'm fortunate now to be able to do it every day. When I was just graduating from high school my secret dream was to live in Paris in a garret and paint all day. The only thing that stopped me is the reputation artists had in those days. One never said artist one said starving artist and that did not appeal to me so many years later here I am, filling my days with creating art. I am lucky!
